Maker's Mark Red/VIP/Affirmed - same bourbon?

G'day all,

Can anybody here shed some light on this matter? The VIP and Affirmed and the standard Red, is it all the same age?

I have yet to open my VIP or "Affirmed" (bought at MM in July) so I have no way of telling.

Yeah Makers produces one bourbon (in the US) and lots of bottles...however several of my friends tell me that it tastes better out of a bottle with your name on it.

Thanks for clearing that up. The Black seal is available in Europe for around 90 Euros (US$ 110) and Gold seal for about the same. Don't think it's worth that much when on such a measly income as mine!
