IW Harper 12 Yrs, open or not

In my cupboard of unopened bottles I have this one. The back label is in Japanese.

Should I open it or let it rest and getr an Old Charter 8 instead? It was an expensive purchase, but I never intended it to gather dust...

Who's it worth more to, you or your descendants? If you, then open it! No sense wasting it on them.

My gist, Ed, is that there's no sense dying with the seal intact.

There still seem to be reasonable amounts of it around so my advice would be to open it.

Itīs a good whiskey - not that far removed from OC classic 90. A bit more drier and perfumy is my verdict.

I just returned from Japan. There was a TON of it around in Tokyo (at least in the area I stayed) and at the airport in the Duty Free. I'd open it.

Yes, that's because it's a brand destined for that market but here in Sweden and Europe it's scarce and if you happen to find one here it's pricey...
