Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Just finished off a half bottle of Old Grand Dad 100 BIB done up real nice as Mint Juleps which I split with my wife. I must say I don't consider this drink something that goes with the Derby and then to be forgotten for a year! I have this mint forest growing in my yard and I just love going out there and snipping off a bunch of sprigs and tearing them up and adding a bit of sugar and mushing them about and ending up with this elixer of the gods!
Hey, anyone else feel that way? What's your favorite Julep bourbon? I think mine is Williamsburg 100 proof, which oddly enough isn't close to my favorite bourbon. It's a bit lean, and I don't like it at all neat, but it makes one hell of a Julep! Tom V
