Joshua Brook Bourbon

I have spotted a bourbon in a few Miami liquor stores for which I can't find reviews. Joshua Brook, an 8-year-old, 90 proof Kentucky straight bourbon sells for about $14 and comes in a 4-sided, tall slender bottle. It's bottled by Frank-lin Distillers Products Ltd., San Jose, CA.

Any idea who the distiller is? Anyone tasted it?

I don't know who the distiller is Omar, but I'd put money on Joshua Brook and Safeway's "Select" brand of bourbon being the same product. They come in the same bottle, and I really can't tell the difference in flavor. It's a competent bourbon, nothing spectacular, but certainly not a waste 14 bucks either ... you should try it. It's interesting that Lucky (now Albertson's) market's house brand of bourbon, which was just great for camping trips, came from San Jose as well.

Chances are good it is Heaven Hill whiskey. They don't do all of the private label bourbon, but they do most of it.
