    Re: Empty Bottles Support Group

I am extremely sad to say that a fine bottle of Elmer T. Lee gave up it last pour today. I however supemely enjoyed it with another Green Bay victory. Next Thursday nights game should be quite interesting. A bottle of Van Winkle 13 yr Rye should be ready to give up the ghost. But I might just have to honor todays Empty bottle by crackin open a fresh vessel of ETL. GO PACK.

Old Bardstown 10/101 hit the dumpster this evening. Open since the Frankfort Sampler when I shared it with Doug, Roger, Howie and Mary. A fine bottling that saw some good times.

Jon's been on a bourbon cleaning spree. I don't usually get the spring cleaning bug until March....but so far in December, he's emptied the "low" bottles including:
    2 WT12's - different bottlings
    2 Pappy 23's - different bottlings
    Wathens
And Blantons.....Right now he's working on a bottle of Rare Breed.

We had to move the bourbon supply in anticipation of new carpet coming next week.....I don't think he liked moving it and/or the discovery of how many bottles we had open

One of my very first bottles that I purchased gave its last pour. I W Harper 15 yr BHC will be missed. I don't believe that I will find any more, so I didn't open it for the longest time. Glad I cracked it open! It was very good.

I just poured the last of my 2006 George T Stagg thru a coffee filter to strain out the char.
And now I have an empty bottle that looks so sad or is it me.

Finished off 2 this weekend, 07' Saz18 and Rowan's Creek (12 year age statement). The Saz18 will be missed but the RC... not so much. In it's defense my bottle did not appear to be properly corked and sealed as the cork was only 1/2 - 2/3's the way in when they sealed with the wax/plastic; this was the only bottle I ever had and it had a stale and bitter taste to it.
