Yeah, I had a real good time. Tried a lot of good whiskey. Spent some time with Julian and was able to try Lenell's new Rye. I liked that a lot!!

I had a small pour of this in Bardstown during the Sampler. It was super.Originally Posted by DrinkyBanjo

Hey, little guy. Eat your vegetables and finish your Elmer T. Lee, and you'll grow up to be big and strong like Kris Comstock!Originally Posted by DrinkyBanjo

Looks like you had a great time DB. Would you say it was worth the fee? I'm thinking of going to the Chicago Whiskey Fest in the Spring, but am wondering if it's worth it. Nice pics too.
JOE
I'd say it was worth it. How many chances do you get to have a glass of whiskey with the guys that make it? Also, it affords you the opportunity to try a lot of things you might not otherwise have the chance to sample. However, after a few different pours it's tough to give a fair judgement.
This was my second time going and I enjoyed it more than the first.

I was also there last night. It was a good show, some great whiskies to sample, a bit overcrowded as compared to WhiskyLive and the Philadelphia Whisky Festival. I introduced myself to Julian and showed him the Good Life magazine article with PVW20 being the most highly rated. It's cool when you can sample some 25 and 30 year old scotches that retail for $300+.
I don't have any pictures though. Oh well.
Well -- I guess that depends on where you hang aroundOriginally Posted by DrinkyBanjo

Yeah, I'd say many of the whisk(e)y 'events' are worth some time, money and effort if you take in some of the peripheral stuff. For example, Joe, if you do Binny's' bash, Twisted Spoke and Delilah's in Chicago, too, it makes for a pretty busy couple of days.
