Poor Joe, you can't buy any of your favorites anymore except Ezra B and some variations of #5.

    Mine would be:

    Weller 107 Antique
    GT Stagg
    Eagle Rare 17
    Russells Reserve 101
    Weller 12.

However, I did try a Birthday Bourbon that was fantastic the other day. It's the current release and I do not own a bottle but I might need to remedy that.

You can't get that one either Pal. I'm not talking about Ezra-B 12 or 15, I'm talking about the old 15 y/o that comes in the wooden box. This stuff is a whole lot better than the Ezra-B 12 or 15.

If the ryes were allowed in this list all three from the 2006 antique collection could be inserted in the list or maybe make mine a top eight. [Sazerac Jr., Sazerac 18, Thomas Handy]

    W. L. Weller 12
    W. L. Weller Centennial
    Elmer T. Lee
    WT Rare Breed
    George T. Stagg

I haven't seen any in GA for several months, but I have some bunkered and stopped hitting all the out of the way stores.

My top five fluctuate, but just bourbons, no ryes, and things I got in GA:

    OGD 114
    Weller Centenniel
    Rock Hill Farms
ORVW 15 (actually, I marginally prefer the 10, but the older bottling)
WT RR 101 (Criminy, I just realized I never opened that 12 yr!!)

Since the last two aren't around anymore, I'll add GA value favorites, and frequent top 5 listees:

    Old Charter 12
    Very Old Barton 90

My top five bourbons in no particular order are:

    ORVW 15/Pappy 15
    Pappy 20
    William Larue Weller
    George Stagg
Elmer T Lee (have to have it on the list for its value)

Since I was into Scotch before Bourbon I'll follow Jazzhead and give my top 5:

    Aberlour a'bunadh
    Lagavulin
    Tullibardine
    Glenfarclas
Compass Box Hedonism (it's a vatted grain scotch...but love it uniqueness)

I like to limit my top 5 to things I know I can get:

    1. Pappy 15. The only wheater to make my list. I generally think wheaters lack pizazz, but I guess the extra ageing in this one makes up for it, because it is my absolute favorite.
    2. Rare Breed.
    3. Russell's Reserve 90. The 101 was number 2, but this one still makes the top five.
    4. Blanton's
    5. Woodford Reserve. It makes the list because I think it makes the best bourbon-on-the-rocks. It just nudges out Elijah Craig 18 for the 5 spot.

For the heck of it, an all inclusive whisk(e)y top five would look like this:

    1. Talisker 18
    2. Pappy 15
    3. Redbreast 12
    4. Rare Breed
    5. Laphroaig 15

    wild turkey rare breed

buffalow trace (i believe this to be the most unique bourbon i've had)

    old charter proprietor's reserve 13yr, a classic!
