Responding to the "Bourbon and Coke?" thread gave me a thread idea: what's the *worst* thing you've ever done w/ bourbon? I'm thinking along the lines of a truly awful Saz (I'm guilty of this), or maybe mixing Distiller's Masterpiece with store-brand cola, or. . .
I'll start it off: mixing OGD Bonded with La Croix Berry. Yuck!!!

I'll confess to an offense of my own, and recent. After messing around with some bourbon and Coke (Diet Coke at that), I added a dash of some peach liqueur I had. Not recommended.

The first time I saw Vanilla COke in a store I had to buy some and I also had to try it with bourbon. What bourbon? It was EWSB, probably 1990 or 1992. They just didn't go. I am a big fan of vanilla coke, and I sometimes mix it with something milder, like Canadian Club classic.

I don't really mix my bourbon with anything but once I put 3 ice cubes in a glass of WT101 and it was horrible. Once in a casino I ordered a bourbon and didn't specify neat (I did for all the previous ones), the drink I got had to be like 75% water. It wasn't too bad but it definitely wasn't good either.

I think I finished off my first bottle of ETL by putting it in eggnog. Now, keep in mind, it's great in eggnog, but eggnog is how I got rid of the beam white I bought ten years ago. It doesn't exactly demand high quality bourbon...
