If you're sitting down to a serious side by side comparison, what do you do or what do you use to cleanse your palate? If it's "Other" we'd all like to hear about it!

unsalted "saltines", which really arent soda crackers, per se, so I decided to say "other". . .

Unsalted "saltines"? Isn't that sort of like grain neutral spirits?
kinda, its like the "wonderbread" of crackers, about the only thing they are good for is removing taste.
I picked "water", but specifically I drink plain Perrier. I find the carbonation helps to completely remove the taste of the previous drink. I know, it has some mineral content to it, but it doesn't seem to detract from the taste of the whiskey IMHO.
Merci
For whiskey tastings & side-by-sides it's always water for me. At wineries I use the little soup-cracker-nugget thingies they always seem to have around.

My wife corrected me on this for being uncouth. They're appropriately called "oyster crackers".At wineries I use the little soup-cracker-nugget thingies they always seem to have around.

Dark chocolate works great, the darker the better. I keep a brick of 100% chocolate around and saw off a few bits when doing a lot of tasting. Resets your palate right back to zero. Corn whiskey (like HH's Mellow Corn works OK too)

What a pity that no one voted for beer. That would´ve been interesting!
Delighted to see you if you can find me!
