Your Favorite Bottle before you had a pour.

This thread is slightly off the mark so feel free to kick it out if it doesn't meet the criteria. Marketing is a huge industry and I have read hundreds of comments on SB.com describing your favorite pour. Any one who uses the wisdom behind SB.com would not be swayed by the bottle but my question to you is what was your favorite container or presentation of a bottle or your worst or if your expectations of the contents were fulfilled or not. I would love to hear what you have to say.

I'd give Blanton's a thumbs up, very unique. Kid wants the horse.
MM bottle, lable and red wax seal are great if you overlook the screw cap on there flagship bottle.
    ETL has a great bottle.
I love the Pappy labels on the straight 20 and 23 bottle. Very old-timey.
I wish that AHH16 stayed with a wax seal..I don't like foil...actually I'd drink it from an old sneaker if that's the way they wanted to package it. If it were not for SB.com I would have overlooked the inert looking bottle completely in the store instead of searching for one (another one).
    Thanks Scott

Speaking strictly about a bottle that drew me in without ever having tasted the contents, I would have to say Evan Williams SB. This had nothing to do with the bottle shape, or the way it looked, but everything to do with what it said on it. This was the first time I had ever heard of any SB, and I was impressed by the fact that it was signed and dated on the date it was bottled. It made me feel like I was holding something special.

One that totally dissapointed me was Basil Haydens. The presentation is first-rate--a great looking bottle, but the product inside is very lacking to me.
On the other side, the Buffalo Trace bottle could be one of my favorites. The shape just "looks" like a whiskey bottle. And, the torn paper label and graphics look great. And, of course, the product inside is top-notch.
And finally, for the Cadillac in Chevy Caprice clothing: AAA 10yr.

I love the bottles Buffalo Trace uses for the Antique Collection and ERSB10. I also think the Saz Jr. bottle is great. Woodford Reserve is a wonderful bottle. Knob Creek too.

I've always liked the look of the Ridgewood/Ridgemont Reserve 1792 bottle, but wish the whiskey had remained as good as it was originally -- or, as good as that barrel sample during the Festival tour.

I have to admit the Old Forester Birthday Bourbon bottle looked so cool and unique I bought one (about two years ago, so I don't know which vintage). I was rather underwelmed by the contents.

The Baby Saz has got to be the coolest damn whisky bottle I have ever seen. Love that old school look!

The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection bottles are classy.
My other favorite and the one that says old-time-whiskey to me is George Dickel No. 12. I like the label and the raised letters in the glass on the shoulder going around the bottle, GEORGE DICKEL TENNESSEE

Saz Jr is awesome, hands down.

I also really like Bookers. That ribboned seal covered by the black wax is classy.

Jefferson's Reserve comes to mind when I think of a marevelous bottle that contains mediocre content. I think this bottling has been discontinued, though, in favor of a younger bourbon.
