With the new year, it's time for a new thread... anyway, now that I've worked through my collection of long-open bottles, it's time to revisit my BTAC. Tonight, first a pour of ER17, then one of Handy. Mmmmmmmm...

Oh no! You have walked into the slavering fangs of a lurking grue!
In just a short while I am going to have a pour of I.W. Harper 12 yo. I wrote earlier that this was dry and peppery on my tongue. I think now that my pour tongue had been abused during the holidays. We will see! Then I will retire my Baby Saz. Good thing I have a bottle an a fraction of the Hardy to console myself with!

Bourbon makes me happy.
Go Fighters!
This evening was a wonderful bourbon night...I had WLW '06, Four Roses Small batch and (okay this wasn't so good) WRFG Batch 1. The first two I got at Bourbon's Bistro, the third was from a friends father (the only bourbon in the house). I think now I shall pour myself some Old Charter BIB as a good way to finish the night.

As long as you have good whiskey you're not "unemployed", you're "Funemployed!!!"

Last night was WT RR 101. I've been avoiding it, but realized with two more bottles in the bunker, everything else that's in there, and my rate of consumption, there's a real possibility that people might end up drinking it to my memory. No point in that.

Last night was Wathens SB. I don't know what it is about that whiskey but it's really fine. Anyone else pleased with this SB?

Right now I have a pour of EW 1783...that I gave my mother at least 10 years ago for fruit cake (really) I used to drink this often at deer camp...When I finish with this one I think It will remain on the shelf...I do not like the after taste....would bitter sound right?
Goin' start with some WT RB; then see where the evening takes me.

Looking straight at the complete '06 BTAC. All pristeen and unopened.
Sticking with the WTRB for now, Kentucky Spirit was always my Fav of the WT line, but this pour has me reconsidering.
The collection is safe for another night.
