EWSB 1996... I will have to post tasting notes on this one.

I just purchased a bottle of EWSB 1996, too, but have not opened it yet. I have a 1995 that is about ½ gone, and have thoroughly enjoyed it (hangs on the glass well, great balance of tannins, medium sweetness with some wood smoke, medium burn with a nice lingering fininsh). I look forward to reading your notes. I eyeing some other years of EWSB, as my reading (Cowdery et al) has revealed the bottling-years are quite distinct, with improvements developing with the progression of the release years.

Got a new bottle of GTS last week, just opened it tonight. I may have to follow it up with last years version, cause this years seems to taste like 140 proof bourbon, where as I dont remember the same bit from last year's..

MM followed by a Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat from the Brewmaster's Collection. I think I just got my mojo back!

Cherry Wheat!! Havent had one in a couple of years. Me and a friend love those. Not something that you sit down and drink 4 or 5 of but, 1 or 2 is a nice change of Taste for beer..

Following up the GTS with VW Rye, inspired by a thread I just read...

Old Weller Antique 107, at just a few dollars more than FC103 this is becoming my regular pour.

Two pours of Knob Creek. Sat outside on the back porch and watched the sun set on 7" of freshly-fallen Virginia snow. The cold gradually chilled the whiskey as we talked and made it smoother with every sip. Very pleasant!

Today, I tried EC 12 for the first time, shortly after purchasing the bottle.

I had read here that this is a bourbon which most either love or hate; I love it.

7 inches? Where in NOVA do you live? I'm out in Western Loudoun and only got about 4 inches.
