Got to get up and go Turkey Hunting in a few hours, so what else would I be drinking..... RB. Think I will pack some in my vest in the morning. Cause nothing goes better with firearms than straight whisky
Might be having Turkey and Turkey tomorrow night....
I'm starting out with Beam Black, with Dickel #12 on deck.
Oh no! You have walked into the slavering fangs of a lurking grue!
Got a couple of bottles to add to the EBSG tonite. First, finished off the last of my OGD BIB. Next, I proceeded to secure a generous pour of ORVW 10/107 (fortunately, this bottle is only half gone). Last, knocked out the last ounces left in a WTRB/03. Not to worry though, I found a new bottle of same last weekend for an old & probably mis-marked price of $27.49. Most places in Tennessee that I have visited over the last 6 months have RB for no less than $35 + tax. So, even though I went in the store for their last bottle of OCPR/Louisville, just could not pass up the RB for that price as well. Anyhow, all of tonite's selections were great - but the RB has my vote as the best of the group......at least for this evening.
I, too, enjoyed a heavy pour of ORVW 10/107. Yesterday I bought three bottles to add to my stash of now nine bottles of this fine wheated bourbon.
Bulleit. $0.99/miniature at the local store. Can't beat that with a stick. It's basically Four Roses in disguise.
It makes a particularly good Manhattan. 4 oz. Bulleit, 1oz Vya, 2 drops Fee Bros. bitters, 1/2 marachino cherry.
