I've picked up Elijah Craig 12, Buffalo Trace, Evan Williams SB 1996, and Knob Creek. My favorite is a draw between EWSB & BT. I'm considering the following for my next:
WT Russel's Reserve (90 or 101)
OR
WT Rare Breed

Good Luck finding the RR 101, it is a rare find in most locations. That being said, I am a big fan of the RR 90 but that does not mean that I would walk by the Rare Breed. It is a barrel proof pour and at 108.2 proof you will appreciate Wild Turkey's obvious talents.
With RR90 readily available also, the choice is yours...but I think trying RB is your best bet.

Not even in the same league IMHO, Rare Breed is far and away a better pour!

Yes Rare Breed is the better of the two, but if you come across any Russell's Reserve 101 snatch it up.
Hey it's 10 year old Turkey, you can't go wrong.
Bunkered a bunch before I tasted it... Wish I hadn't... find it is good mixed with berry smoothie and 7up... Just don't care too much for it straight, my least favorite Turkey ever, and that is saying something!
... Gladly trade 1 or 2 I have bunkered if you're interested.

Frankly, I'm not that fond of either of them. And I have no general prosciption against Wild Turkey, either. I enjoy several WT bottlings, and count the 12yo, Tribute and Kentucky Spirit among the very best. But Russell's Reserve (either 101 or 90) and Rare Breed rank near the bottom of WT's lineup, for me -- especially factoring price.

Recently did a comparative on Kentucky Spirit, Heritage and RR 90. I thought the KS was the best: concentrated, lightish yet rich, very pure and brandy-like. Not every bottle (that I have had) of KS is as good but this is pretty much bourbon at the top of its game. Heritage was heavier (at least this one, it is also a single barrel), very good too but not as refined. RR seemed to have less flavor than either but also was very good but more in the "every day" range.
It is a pleasure to sample something as good as that Kentucky Spirit although all these whiskeys, and WT 101 too, are excellent.

In a recent poll on this forum, Rare Breed was voted (and by far) the best of the WTs. I don't doubt that KS is a great pour, but I'm surpised that stronger support for RB hasn't been posted on this thread, at least, not yet.
I would love to take you up on this but I have nothing to trade.
But anyway,... are we talking about the same thing, the 101 proof or the 90 proof?
The 90pf is a major dissapointment.
As far as the 101pf goes all I have to offer is pictures of dead Presidents.
PM me if interested.
