If those were your only choices - which one?
My pallette can't tell much difference, and I don't have a preference. Old Forester has a better lookin' bottle IMHO.
Anyone have a definite preference?

Mine wouold be the OF100. But if I had to attempt an apples-to-apples comparison (EV Black 86 vs. OF86), then I would still give the nod to OF. The OF to me is heavier and richer; I sense more caramel, vanilla, spice and wood char in the Brown-Forman product. I do enjoy the EV Black though.

Good point full_proof, I should have specified - EWB and OF86.
Like he said. . .
I'd hold off and save up a couple of weeks longer to get the OF 100º (if) that is a choice.
Old Forester, for me.

Are you talking about the standard 86 proof Old Forester?
If so then I will have to go with Heaven Hill's flagship, Evan Williams.
i'd flip a coin, cant go wrong with either. although, i drink evan williams alot more,

Old forester 100. One of the best values on the market.
I think for me, it would be a push if the OF is 86 proof and the EW is the 7 yr. Nod goes to OF if 100. I have not had the EW since they dropped the age statement. Does anyone notice any significant change in the taste profile since?
