Pappy 20, AH Hirsch 16 or Black Maple Hill 21

I voted for all of them. Hirsch is really great, but so is Pappy. I think Pappy is a better pour in terms of objective qualities, but the Hirsch is something I personally enjoy a bit more, if that makes any sense.

I cant really say which I like better, as I have only opened my Hirsch, and I must say it wasn't to my liking, I have had better bourbons. I will try again this week, and if my best friend from Sydney comes to viit, I will open my Pappy 20 and do a shootout

I know I'm not answering the question but I really love the Hirsch. I plan on getting the Pappy (15 and 20)in the next month and then will look to the Maple Hill. There's too many stinkin choices out there....

My opinion may be tainted because my old time favorite was Michter's. In 2001 I bought the Lawrenceburg label 20 year Pappy and thought it was excellent. Then I opened one of my blue wax Hirsches and in a side by side comparison thought the 16 year Hirsch was the hands down winner. My taste notes would be worthy of a butcher so don't ask for that. All I can tell you is Hirsch seemed to have more flavors, bigger body, and nicer finish. It is still my favorite.

I'd like to know what you think doing a side by side of Pappy 15 and the blue wax Hirsch. I think I've tried the blue wax Hirsch courtesy of TN Bourbon, but the Pappy 15 is a household favorite here
