Re: What are you drinking tonight? (Spring '07)

I opened my bottle of Jacob's Well a while back. Every time I try it I like it more and more. For now, its my go-to bourbon. Good thing I have a fairly decent supply nearby.

Re: What are you drinking tonight? (Spring '07)

Now that I have secured a second bottle of the 06 WLW, decided to open the first one this evening. I have this funny rule that I never open a rare or semi-rare bottle until finding a back-up for the bunker.

This is some amazing bourbon! No wonder all the raving positives that have been posted here. WLW 06 is so good that it is making me re-evaluate the above-mentioned personal rule. What if I had never found a 2d bottle or even worse, something happened to me or this bottle thereby preventing me from ever enjoying it? Maybe not such a good rule ......well, at least not in terms of WLW 06.

WOW! - I may have to go back tomorrow and pick up that last bottle still on the shelf!

I'm changing it up tonight. Healthy pour of WTKS and Ginger Ale. Tasty!

I just opened my recent purchase of Weller Centennial with a good pour. Such a nice way to start the weekend. I think I'll follow this with a pour of ORVW 10 year.
    Mmm, dat's good!

Started out the night with what has become a favorite of mine - Ezra B 15. Next, back to my first bottle of WLW 06 that I opened just last night......very, very nice. Think I will call it an evening and let that warm Weller 'hug' put me to sleep for the remainder of the night.

I agree, this is a bourbon that's gotten very tasty as the bottle has dwindled. Good stuff - I think I'll have a pour.

Yeah, I've been nippin' from this stuff tonight too. I busted the cork off, and had to decant it, and it's been a royal pain in the ass.

    But I like it!

I'm finishing up a Jim Beam flight - first the rye, then JB Black, now Knob Creek.
