I just opened my Prichard's Doubled Barreled Bourbon.
From what I have read about this bourbon I was expecting something very bland.
I am drinking it neat and it goes down very smooth, (yes, I did use the meaningless "S" word).
But it is not complex at all, nice vanilla is about it, and a short finish that leaves a nice little burn.
They say this was distilled in KY.
Then Prichard poured it out of the barrels cut it with water and then re-barreled it.
That took place at their rum distillery in Kelso TN.
It is 90 proof and 9 years old.
I am going to try it on the rocks, actually with a lot of crushed ice, I have a feeling it will make a nice Bourbon Mist.
