To all appearances, this is a 15yo Redbreast. As far as I can recall from the only bottle Iīve had, it reminded me of Redbreast 12yo with a little more polished wood. I love Redbreast so obviously I was quite enamoured with this one, as well.

Incidentally, I also have an unopened bottle of this one (the Millenium, that is). About a year ago, the state-controlled Swedish outlets, for some inexplicable reason, suddenly stocked it at the regular price. This was after the prices had started to skyrocket on E-bay and similar places. It was only a couple of bottles, though, but I managed to lay my hands on one of them, for which I am very grateful.

P.S if you have tried the current "official" Redbreast 15yo, please note that there arenīt any overt similarities with the Millenium. The former is a much heavier proposition.
Delighted to see you if you can find me!

I think it's well worth opening. It has less sherry than the Redbreasts, and it was made to taste a bit more like old-style pure pot still, in that a wider cut of the distillate was taken. There's some quite heavy pot still in it.

It was quite a while since I had my bottle (2001, perhaps) but I remember it as pretty lightweight and with Sherry tones, not as much as Redbreast, maybe, but definitely more so than Green Spot.

What I remember clearly, is that I had severe difficulties in distinguishing Millenium from RB 12, judging by the nose alone. Maybe that says more about my amateurishness than the differences between these brands?
