Everything that VanWinkle puts into a bottle is of the same class as the 20yr. Glad you enjoyed it so much.

How does the 20 compare to the 12yo Lot B?

It's worth every last penny and more. I enjoy PVW20 far more than lot b but I always keep lot b on hand.

Ask yourself what "more time in the wood" does to bourbon.....and you will have your answer.

Some day my Hirsch 16-year gold wax will be gone. I must find a worthy substitute. Lot B seems timid by comparison...

You may, down the line, just have to buy the occasional Michter decanter on eBay and engage in some wishful whiskey aging!

It's my favorite and several of my friends', too. Another good van Winkle product is the special bourbon they make for Blue Smoke restaurant in NYC; I was there last week and had 2 glasses (neat) with some excellent BBQ brisket. Jazz club attached, too. Check this link..

Although it's kind of strong, I'm looking forward to the next release of PVW 23 yr old, too.

I think the 20 yr old is much better than Lot B..
