contrary to Ms Boone's personally hurtful/spiteful statement/wild opinion/accusation...this site was involved in NO dealings between me and Mister hjlhjl. everything was one hundred percent above board between the both of us.

On the contrary, I have personally meet Mrs. Boone and yes she's married so it is Mrs. Boone. Betty Jo is a fine outstanding member her and I'm ashamed you would jump in and waste you 4th post on such slander.

and NO 'end user agreements' of any kind were broken or intentionally violated. i came here with NO intention of selling anything. but spotting the nice Mister hjlhjl's interesting post, i posted in turn...and the rest is history. no breaking any agreements...no shady business deals...no skull-duggery of any sort.

On the contrary if you had no intention of selling these you would not have posted the picture. You could have easily sent a PM and emailed a photo and none of us would have been the wiser. So yes your agreement was violated.

and more than any money i might have gotten from my ole LEM...i made a nice friend in Mister hjlhjl which is MANY times more valuable to me than a mere bottle of old whiskey...and to my thinking, that SHOULD be one of the 'main' ideas (or maybe THE main idea) behind this (or any other) site, anyways.

You talk big of friendship but with out contributing here how do you expect to get to know any of us. Just because you sit on the sidelines waiting for someone to post a need for something you have does not constitute friendship. Those of us here who have had a pour together know the difference.

i would ask for an apology as her spin on the facts do not bear up to the light of day, but then i strongly suspect that our Ms Boone is not the kind to give one. well, that's okay, Ms Boone. Keep it. we obviously are not alike and i can say with some relish that i am glad of that fact.

As a new guy myself I would be the one offering the apology even if by PM. We can only read the writing on the wall you have left.

Agreed 100% with Tony's post. Betty Jo has a fantastic rep on this forum thanks to having drams with SBers, helping bourbon with finding their ways through the Kentucky Sampler or the like. Also has helped with SB clothing where profits have gone to charity or the board (not her pocket) if I'm not mistaken. All this to say nothing of the inside info regarding her workplace that she graciously shares. I would be honoured and privilaged to make her aquaintance.

Different boards have different ideas about newbies coming on to sell stuff at anything other than an origional price. At Whiskymag.com, it's buyer beware and anything goes. Here you are trading/selling with friends. Big difference!

If you tell people where the dusties are, you will be welcomed here I believe. If you are looking to resell the dusties or make profits from these transactions you will not.

i came here at the request of a customer to find out more info about a whiskey that i knew nothing of... pure and simple. nothing more, nothing less. and in coming here, i spotted a man needing something which reminded me that i had them (or thought i did) in storage and actually had no use for them. i attempted to pm him but it was several days before he responded so i posted up pics for all to see (especially for him in case he had not gotten my pm.)

very simple really. he needed something that i had. i let him have it. and became friends in the process. (shrugs) nothing at all shady or underhanded about any of that. yet i was jumped on for it. then in defending myself, why should i be surprised to be jumped on again?

that is the way of people, especially high-handed 'net cliques.'

down here in Tennessee, we were raised to treat EVERYBODY with respect and kindness as long as they treated us the same way... i don't fear tangling with igmo's...but then to do so would surely bother 'others' that have no dog in the fight and i am not about that sort of thing though no doubt 'some' are. and so rather than fight it out with cliques that obviously feel superior to everyone else, i'll just say goodbye to you all and let you have your way here.

i would kindly ask any admin reading this to delete any posts i've made and delete my account. i have nothing against this site, nor any of its mods or admins...it's a wonderfully well done place...but obviously some of its high-brow members and i aren't going to get along. i don't ride rough-shod over folks unless they ride rough-shod over me first, which i think is quite fair yet obviously 'some' here do not agree with that.

If I was pissed, or thought someone misunderstood my intentions, (which, by the way has happened here) I sure wouldn't (and didn't) wait nine months to defend my integrity, or humbly explain my actions.
