New from SoCal

I came across the site after doing some online searches for information on bourbon and it looks like this is the place to be. After 20+ years of traveling around Eastern Europe I was pretty much a vodka man but over the past couple of years I have expanded my tastes to bourbon. As a realative rookie my current favorties are Wild Turkey 101 and Woodford Reserve.

MTC, welcome! just looked at your bar, looks great. The group here is great and you can learn a ton. You might try some Weller 12 if it's in your area or the Eagle Rare SB 10 yr. If you can find the Eagle Rare 10 101 in SoCal grab it. I like it a bit better than the current.

hello MTC...not to piggyback or steal your fame....i decided to post my hi here...i am also from southern california..orange county....i was a teacher up until last semester and now i am a respite worker/crisis intervention for people with developmental disabilities...i have been into spirits most of my life..started off with blended scotch..then moved to single malts then bourbon.....with my new job/paycheck i have been buying more bourbon and single malts lately......i really like the van winkle special reserve and the george stagg one billion proof.......my tastes in single malts run towards the peatier islays.....

I have ate there once Dave and enjoyed it quite a lot. Great live music the night I was there and the food was very good. They have as I recall the JBSBC but not sure if anything else. I always forget to ask for Blanton's but will do so from now one as I have been seeing it more than I expect...

As I recall, they had no bourbon that I didn't have at home.

However, I did try an SMS or two that were new to me.

I just recalled that I've posted about Spaghettini before.
