Talking Some people really don't know how to serve Bourbon..

I was at a friends house and was asked what I wanted to drink. They had some Wild Turkey, so I said a little turkey on the rocks.

She brings out a 16 oz glass with a few ice cubes filled all the way up with WT...
Now I like bourbon, but WT straight is meant to be sipped, not gulped.....

...she was only trying to be a good hostess.

Maybe she was trying to get you drunk and take advantage of you.

One time at a hotel stay they handed out two free drink tickets. So I walk down to the bar. The only bourbon they had was Jimmy Beam White. I ordered 2 to go like this "I would like two Jim Beams in lowball glass neat". The bartender grabs two lowball glasses and starts for the ice and I stop her to explain "neat". The Bartender grabs the whiskey and proceeds to fill them to the brim. I almost stopped her since at home a normal pour is two fingers. Sometimes it is a good thing when they don't know!

Now if she had been trying to take advantage of him, she would have been pouring MM instead of WT.

Yeah, but only if it was anti-WD Maker's Mark
IIRC correctly it was affectionately named "Makes Her Bark"
