    Great to be here

Found this board last night - feels great to be home with like-minded folks. Looking forward to learning more about my favorite spirit.

I have been enjoying bourbons for 30 years since being intruduced to MM by a family friend.

I'll go by SteeltownBBQ since that is my other craving. There is something about the flavors created by charred oak that influence both passions. The flavor profiles created by the oxidized wood are special.

Even my wife who does not enjoy drinking bourbon has learned to appriciate the special liquid and differences between bottlings. We visited Bardstown this fall and she bought bottles at all the distillerys we visited. Silly girl thinks the souvenier bottles are for display purposes only. I know better, but what do I do with the empties?

Welcome aboard! Refill the empties with water and let your wife display them. Be careful while opening and you can make them appear unopened.
