"Clears up her head with bourbon/Cause beer is so suburban/And declasse for what it's worth"
A little late to start a 2009 thread, so I thought I'd give this a bump.
Any new thoughts on QPR for some of your favorites or not so favorites? Seems like with the increases in pricing and taxes in several locations, there might be some changes of opinion concerning value.
I like BT, but I've seen the price creep up from $22 to $25 to $28 in 2009. On the flip side, it seems MM has come down a slight bit. It always seemed to be running in the high $20s, and now, it's more often in the mid, and occasionally, lower $20s.
I've also seen the BT creep up a bit but for $25 a bottle, I start to consider it a top shelf bourbon. I think the answer is to buy everything in handles. I picked up some EW recently for $17....works out to somewhere near $7.50 a 750ml.
I turned a friend and his wife onto bourbon and I found some very inexpensive Winn-Dixie bourbon that was $11 a handle. Brought one to them as a gift and my friend asked me get him 12 more. Maybe the bourbon deal of the year.

I Don't Need No Instructions To Know How To Rock!
EW Black is still under $15, and AAA 10yr is $16. although I don't think its that good of a pour, fairly bland. WLW Special is $19 and EC 12yr @ $21 are still the two best QPR in MI. Lot of the other stuff is heading towards $25 /bottle. Its getting expensive to drink in this State.![]()
