so basically Heaven Hill must be sitting pretty right now?

If i remember correctly, Didn't they have the largest inventory of bourbon, by far, of any distillery?

Am i on or off base on this?

I understand they have the second biggest inventory, only behind Jim Beam. But I could be wrong there....

No, according to their website you're correct. (First sentence of the last paragraph.)

As for the Weller Antique 107, I haven't bothered to hoard. I like it a lot, sometimes it's even a regular pour, but it'll be back soon enough and there's plenty of other things I really enjoy to tide me over until then. (Can't say that I've really seen any shortage of it in these parts anyway. ) I didn't let that stop me from picking up another last night when I went to get a bottle of FC103 though... (Total in stash: 1)

Re: Weller Antique 107 Not Going Away!

I've also now seen several shelves here in Houston where various iterations of Weller 12/Antique/Sp Reserve were and have been replaced with signs reading...

"Due to a miscalculation at the distillery, there will be no ___________ available from our distributor until mid summer 2008"

This sign was where the Dickle No 8 was empty too. At least this gives the consumer some information regarding the temporary nature of the shortage and who's to blame. They could have also said.....

"Our customers are drinking so damn much Weller/Dickle/etc, we can't keep up with demand"

Which I saw this morning, so bought four bottles over lunch break. Hoping that will be enough to see me through the drought.

I think HH has the largest "aged" inventory, by far the largest.
