Just can't Finish Bottles

I liked the four roses yellow label, the 4 bottles that I purchased in Japan.

I also like the one bottle of Noah Mills I tried.

I found that if you start the night on a bottle that you like, then after a few.. switch to the brand you dont like so much. It might slow you down some, but its easier to work it down.

I just finished a bottle of Old Forester. Every time I saw it in the cabinet I remembered how much I disliked it so down the drain it went.

When I open a bottle, I save 4oz and 2oz in high quality sample bottles, so I can have access to nice, fresh, non (or at least low) oxidizaed samples long after the bottle is finished.

I like this idea, where do such empty HQ sample bottles come from?

I like the Clear Boston rounds in 2 and 4 oz..Was getting some 8oz bottles as well, but found those too large (one third the bottle).

how long you guys think a sample would last in a bottle like this?

I do the same thing on my "want to keep a sample for a taste comparison one day" bourbons as well.

What I do is I get a 50 ml bottle of somthing and then fill it with said bourbon. That way I get two taste from the same bottle

The will last years. 10+ yrs no problem as long at he lid is on tight. You will still need to keep them upright.

I wait until the 50mls go on sale and buy a few. I usually get Bookers because I loke the bottles and I can store the side my side neatly.
