This weekend, there was a article (that hit home) in the Wall Street Journal

Eric Felten writer of the "Hows your drink" did a blind taste test with several other bourbons

I'm very proud that my ( ) Evan Williams Black label was his "pick" in this blind taste test

For those of you that don't know, my line at Heaven Hill is the 1.75 size. The (almost) constant run is Evan Williams Black label Just ran a single order for 44,000 cases...yep...you read that right...one oder

Bettye Jo, when you said that this 44,000 cases was just one order, what do you mean?
Was it all going to one retailer? Which seems way to much.
Or was it going to one wholesale distributor?

I checked the code on the paper's...it's multi coded so It could go to a lot of places. More than likely this was to a distributor. I can't see a liquor store having the capacity to hold 44,000 cases of 1.75 Evan Williams Black

Bettye Jo, Great article in WSJ! I haven't tried Evan Williams Black yet, but did get to sample Evan Williams 10 yr at the end of the Heaven Hill Tour on Saturday, and I really enjoyed it. I'll have to pick up some of the EW Black..at $14 it sounds like a real value.
