On a business trip out in Anaheim and I brought a 3 x 200ml sampler of Talisker with me. Last night I had a dram of the Distillers Edition.

    So how was it?

I'm enjoying Alberta Springs 10-year-old Canadian rye whisky at the moment. Beautifully smooth, sweet and peppery. Light aroma and short finish, but the middle is superb.

The Balvenie FR. Nice honey sweetness. Gets me in the mood for some more HP 12!

It's good but I think the 10 and 18 are far better. The Talisker doesn't need sherry influence. I like the smoke and spice the way it is. But still good!

Having some Old Pulteney 12 tonight.

Had some HP 12 then some Laga 16! The three (FR, HP 12 and Laga 16) were awesome!
