I was cheering on OKC. A city that can have something as mind-blowingly-awesome as Cattlemen's Steakhouse deserves a Championship. Regardless, I respect your choice of whisky.

There is exactly one, and only one, advantage to buying liquor in PA, and it is Laphroaig 18. Apparently, the state was asking Beam Global to submit new paperwork when Laphroaig discontinued their 15-year and began their 18-year. Rather than going through with that hassle, Beam decided to sell Laphroaig 18 to PA for the price that Laphroaig 15 went for.

Not bad, however with the Laphroaig 15 scarcity on the shelves, the prices have gone up and they're in the neighborhood of the 18yr and sometimes even higher.

First pour of a Cragganmore 12 tonight - a very generous one at that, thanks to a friendly bartender. A nice creamy/honey and malty dram, gently smokey, medium body and a dry finish. Very easy to drink.

Finished off a bottle of Sheep Dip last night with a few friends from out of town. Not bad at all and certainly better than I expected it to be.

I was having a little Sea Wynde rum while cooking dinner and then switch over the Jameson Black Barrel afterwards.

Glenlivet 12 - too hot for much else. Citrus, fruity, a little green apple.

I had Glenkinchie 12 the other night. It was delicious. A little more kick than Auchentoshan, but nice a fruity & spicy.

I had some wonderful 29 year old Cragganmore last night. Cask strength frum Duncan Taylor. An absolute treat. Great balance of sherry along with all those wonderful fruity elements I get in Cragganmore. Spice and wood. I need more.
