Bourbon Book by Ron Givens

I saw BOURBON AT ITS BEST by Ron Givens on Amazon.com the other day. Did a search on this board and found a closed thread from 2006 on this book, that posters said they had been waiting months for, only to cancel the order. It appears the the author is trying again with a new publisher. Hope he has better luck this time

That explains it. I knew I had been seeing references to the book for a long time, so was surprised recently to see that Amazon had it for pre-order.

I met him once, although only briefly, about three years ago. Nice guy.

I got my copy yesterday from Amazon. Pretty good book - though nothing startlingly new for this crowd. In some respects it provides an update on Regan's mid-90s book with reviews of some of the current suite of bourbons available. And it's supported with lots of good photos. Interesting error though, the Rowan's Creek review features of picture of an ORVW 12 year bottle. But overall a nice addition to the bourbon library.
