Got a line on some Laphroaig 30 I'm going to try and buy tomorrow. We'll see.

More than $200 but not a lot. I'd jump on your dusty in a heartbeat if it was local.

It seems there is a huge price difference on the Laphroaig 18yo depending on what state you buy it in.
I've seen it as high as $169.99 in Cali to the low of $69.97 here in MI. and 22 different prices in between.

So of course I ordered one today, bottle that is, I probably should have ordered a case.

Went to a scotch tasting tonight at a local store. While I had tasted many of the available scotches previously, there were a few I hadn't tried before. I did run accross one that was totally unique, a 17 YO Balvenie aged 3 years in a rum cask. Ended up taking 2 home with one (one to open, one to bunker) since it was a limited release.

I'm even more of a Scotch n00b than a bourbon n00b, but I grabbed a few Tamdhu 10 bottles. Not sure if or when I'll get into them (still inching my way along the bourbon highway for now) but since it is going away, it can't hurt to stash away a little stock.
