I also picked up some Ardbeg day. I was trying to resist this one, but there was some dwindling stock right in front of me. I feel like I'm a sucker for (false?) scarcity. The initial reports are good though, so I'll probably thank myself later.

I was traveling for business last week and took the opportunity to pick up a Lagavulin Distillers Edition and a Lag 16 to replace the bottle that is nearly gone. A friend also found me an Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist which I should have in my hands shortly - looking forward to this one as it has been a while and I remember the last bottle being splendid. I am also pondering pulling the trigger on a Port Ellen 9th, not sure yet though.

Between my affinity for rye and Islay SMW, I think I will start referring to my bunker as 'The Isle of Rislay'

Gary, how would you compare the current Powers Gold with the Powers 12 Yr (not the John Lane, pure pot still, just the regular ol' 12 year old).

Redbreast 12. It Is terrific! First non-bourbon that I enjoy drinking. Very nice stuff.
