Picked up a bottle of Cardhu for £22 on offer at the supermarket, looking forward to opening her up and seeing if it can tease me further into scotch...

Ha, that stuff goes for $160 in Ontario, and that is after the price came down almost $100.

I picked up a bottle of Longrow CV (Springbank). Good stuff, very smoky and peaty but with some nice depth and sweet notes. More overtly smoky than Lagavulin 16 but the flavour doesn't linger nearly as long.

Found a place selling Glenfiddich for $24 a bottle so I decided to start to stock for the coming winter/smoking/outdoor season here in SoFla.

Bowmore 30 in a ceramic bottle, all black, with a dragon on it. One of the coolest bottles i've ever seen !!!

Does anyone know anything about it??? I'm anxious to crack it open !!!

Great catch! That's the Bowmore Sea Dragon. It's supposed to be excellent and is very pricy on the collector's market. How much did you pay for it?

Yeah, I've been doing some research, and it does seem to be very good whisky and worth more than I paid for it. ($215 out the door)

I sure envy you guys. If I ever bought a bottle that cost $215 my wife would kick me in the groin so hard my balls would be up around my eyes. I hope you enjoy your pick-up and look forward to your comments on it. I'm planning a trip to Islay next year and can't wait to taste a few exquisite drams while sitting by a peat fire in a cozy pub.

Local store had Highland Park 12 mini bottles, 50ml on sale for $1 each. 15 = 750ml/$15, and they were selling their HP12 750 for $42 and change. I bought about 20 and called my friends who'll be interested. Cheers!
