I wish it was bottled at higher proof, at this one is at 80, but it should be a nice pour. I like peat at certain times, cold evenings outside etc. But this should prove interesting in that other flavors can be detected and appreciated (I hope).
Glen Breton Ice 17 year old cask strength. Pretty expensive for a 250ml bottle, but I had a gift card so I figured what the heck.
I'm on my way to get bottles of Laphroaig 10 and Ardbeg 10. I've been without either for too long.... and we can't have that!
Christmas brought me a bottle of Balvenie Caribbean Rum Cask.

Are you a Whisk(e)y Apostle?
I bought a bottle of John L Sullivan yesterday. Pretty simple and straight forward, got a little honey vanilla thing going on with some graininess. Good, inexpensive, I can see this being a pour with friends while telling war stories, some true, some embellished, while listening to some Chieftains or Clancys and not fretting over how quickly the bottle is disappearing.
I am looking to get into scotch a little bit, they have Laphroaig 10 (which a lot of people seem to like) by me for $38.99, is that a decent price?
Anyone like Aberlour A'bunadh? I saw some old batches at a local store for $50, but if it's a typical sulfur sherry bomb, I don't want anything to do with it.
