Here is Ralfy's review of one version:

Interesting, it is the main component of Black Bottle.
I have not tried it yet, but I like the fact that it is the lightest
peated of the Islay...it will still be signifcant, but hopefully not has
    overwhelming as Lagavulin, Laphroaig etc.
The Bunnahabhain is a nice scotch, its not what I love out of peated Islay's (I'm a nut for Lagavulin 16 and Laphroaig CS, but it is still a good drinker, I think you will like it if you don't want the peat bomb that some of the other's are.

I wish it was bottled at higher proof, at this one is at 80, but it should be a nice pour. I like peat at certain times, cold evenings outside etc. But this should prove interesting in that other flavors can be detected and appreciated (I hope).

Glen Breton Ice 17 year old cask strength. Pretty expensive for a 250ml bottle, but I had a gift card so I figured what the heck.

I'm on my way to get bottles of Laphroaig 10 and Ardbeg 10. I've been without either for too long.... and we can't have that!

I wish I could find another bottle of Laphroaig 10 here. I just killed my bottle last night and will be needing another. But nobody seems to have any. Is there a shortage or something?

I bought a bottle of John L Sullivan yesterday. Pretty simple and straight forward, got a little honey vanilla thing going on with some graininess. Good, inexpensive, I can see this being a pour with friends while telling war stories, some true, some embellished, while listening to some Chieftains or Clancys and not fretting over how quickly the bottle is disappearing.

Not sure about a shortage of Laphroaig, but I haven't been able to find any Ardmore in the usual places for a while. I sure hope it hasn't been taken off the list for Ohio.

I am looking to get into scotch a little bit, they have Laphroaig 10 (which a lot of people seem to like) by me for $38.99, is that a decent price?

That's a great price - those introductory offerings can vary by so much (in DC, for instance, Lagavulin 16 can be found as low as $58 and as high as $95) and the price you found is at the low end for Laph 10.

Anyone like Aberlour A'bunadh? I saw some old batches at a local store for $50, but if it's a typical sulfur sherry bomb, I don't want anything to do with it.
