    Hello from Canada

A lovely site. Very happy to find it.

And I would like to thank my American friends for producing and distributing as wondrous a whisky as ever graced the Earth.

Looking forward to many visits here.

Welcome Treeguy! Where in Canada are you located? I'm bot far from The Blue water bridge on the States side. Do you currently have a favorite pour?
On to your name? I was doing some research today and just became familiar with a Paper Bark Maple! What an interesting tree! I also have plans on my next trip to my dad's of transplanting a Yellow Birch to my back yard.

Anyway enjoy the site it's a great place with great people!

    Cheers!

    Hey Detroit,

I'm in the Laurentian mountains north of Montreal, Quebec.

My favorite pour? Booker's Best and anything Turkey.

Don't think I've ever heard of a Paper Bark Maple, but we do have yellow birch up here. Not lots, but not rare either. Far as maples go, we have Sugar, Red, Silver, Manitoba, and Pennsylvania.

    Thanks for the welcome.

    Welcome to the site!

What is your favorite WT product? Mine is their rye. Very tasty and affordable. Hope you enjoy your journey through all the lables and I look forward to hearing your opinions.

I swear, every site I go to there's always a Texan acting like a true gentlemen. I don't know what y'all are drinking way down there but it certainly sweetens your disposition.

As for WT, I'm a big fan of the 12 year-old, though I don't think I've seen more than three bottles. The standard 101 is the bottle I judge every other bourbon by. I tried the rye and the liquoer years ago, both were very good, but only had one bottle of each. Never had the good fortune of finding any Rare Breed or any of the special bottles here in Quebec. Lots of excellent scotch and wine here, but finding good bourbon isn't easy, pretty much luck of the draw.

It's not what we're drinking....it's how much! I don't remember where I heard this....Texas drinks something like 20% of the beer in the US market. Could be stretching things a bit -or- it might be an understatement? Either way, we're doin' just fine down this way.
