    Another Newbie from Boston

Glad I found this site - great stuff all around. I am definitely a bourbon novice compared to what I have seen.

I have to admit that I was a strict Jack Daniels man until 5-6 years ago when I was introduced to the likes of Maker Mark and Eagle Rare. Now, I like (1) MM or Rittenhouse Rye on the rocks, in a very non-sweet Manhattan (the manhattan version of a dry martini - gin is my other drink of choice), or in a Satin Manhattan (MM, sweet vermouth, Grand Marnier and vanilla), and (2) Eagle or Black Maple Hill neat.

Now that I am seeing all the bourbons on this site with tasting notes, I am looking forward to expanding my bourbon experiences and, hopefully, touring Kentucky at some point.

Welcome. I am in Boston right now on a trip. Great weather...

Lucky for you there is a couple good bourbon spots and a great whiskey store near Boston. Julio's down in westboro has one of the best selections u have ever seen (150+ whiskeys).

I just got the last of his Weller Centennial, but the Rock Hill Farms is incredible..

Look forward to your posts and when I am back in the area some time we can get a drink. James W is also a Boston guy...

Welcome Paul, As I've welcomed others, I'll welcome you."You'll like it here. You'll like it here. You bet your ass you'll like it here" (Sung to the song, "Oh Christmas Tree") Sit back, pour yourself a drink, and let the fun begin. Joe
