Jim Beam 1977 Golden Jubilee decanter.

My wife bought some box lots of Michter's decanters tonight at the local auction house. In them were a few Jim Beam decanters. One of them is in a box with velvet inside it. It is of the Executive line. From what I've found online it's the 1977 Golden Jubilee decanter. On the box it is printed that it is a 185 month whiskey, whereas all the other examples I have found are only 155 month whiskeys. Is this decanter, which is mint condition and sealed with it's contents, worth anything?

Re: Jim Beam 1977 Golden Jubilee decanter.

It would be worth more if it were an Elvis decanter, like I saw in a glass case at 'House of Spirits' in N. Vernon IN last weekend. There were a couple/three and I thought they were priced at 35-60 dollars, and since the case was unlocked I took one out, the gold Elvis IIRC, to check the fill level. After shaking it around I got a closer look at the price tag- $600. It was a tough decision, but I left it there for someone who would appreciate its Elvis-ness more than its contents.
