Dusty Wild Turkey American Spirit...Signed!

I have been hunting down Wild Turkey American Spirit in my local area for a few months. This has been one of my minor projects. I have found prices all over the place but mostly in the area of $99. I had been intrigued by a local seller who has a bottle signed by Jimmy Russell but had not yet sprung the $99 for the bottle as I reckoned I might be able to find a bottle cheaper. Subsequently, I found and bought a bottle for $79 but have kept this product on my radar. Well, on my after-Thanksgiving bottle hunting expedition I found the above bottle. I paid $69 for this bottle and was surprised to see that it was signed to boot!

So, I finally got my signed bottle to add to the bottle already in my pantry.

So here is my question to the crowd. As I walked to the car the seller came out with another bottle and said he had a case in the back. Should I be going back for more of these? I think I might have to buy him out.

Better try it first to see how much you like it.
I like it but I think it is way over priced.
I have 2 also and that's all for me.

I agree. While it is very good bourbon, I'm nearly finished mine and doubt I'll ever get another.

Thanks for the comments. I like Wild Turkey so based on my past positive experiences with their products I feel fairly secure in picking these bottles up and am certain I will be rewarded with a great experience. I wil promise to taste one of these bottles before I buy any more, thought!

I believe TNbourbon words it best in his notes here and I agree it is like Tribute in reverse.

The Tribute is all the sweetness of WT with the wood tailing off the dry finish.

The WTAS Is more nutty flavors with the tailing sweetness at the end.

Both are good but I like the Tribute better, with both open on the bar I have done the side by side. WTAS is very good, Tribute is (in the immortal words of Tony the Tiger!!) Grrrrrreat!

Cheers!
Tony (not immortal or the Tiger)

Re: Dusty Wild Turkey American Spirit...Signed!

I know of a place with a dozen signed bottles still on the shelves in upstate NY ($87.99). Signed or not, I am personally a fan of the contents... even though the price is a bit steep.
