Re: One more SDB (semi dusty bottle) 10H10
Nothing to write home about today except for some cheap ($11 a handle) 80 proof bourbon called "Real Kentucky Bourbon" or some such thing.
The only dusty was Red Hot Cinnamon Schnapps w/ faux tax stamp. I'm headed to www.cinnamonschnapps.com to ask them how old it is and what it might be worth and if the members would like to purchase it from me. ![]()

Re: One more SDB (semi dusty bottle) 10H10
After a long and hot hunt yesterday, I brought home a bottle of Elijah Craig 18 SB for $30 (I love dusty bottles with dusty prices) that was distilled in 1981 - bottled in 1999 (I assume...no bottling date) but the same store had EWSB from the '89 and '90 vintages (roughly the same time) but they were also $30 so those were left behind.
The only other prize was my first ER101. I found two handles of the stuff from 1982 but the faux stamps were damaged/missing. After looking at some other posts, it looks like this was bottled in Lawrenceburg, New Orleans and Frankfort. Is it all from the same distillery? Three different distilleries?

Re: One more SDB (semi dusty bottle) 10H10
Ahh....back to the hunt. It was so humid here, the dusties were covered with a fine layer of MUD!!
Todays finds were an Old Charter 7 year which I've never seen before and a bottle of Dickel No.8 which I also have never seen here abouts. The last find was some ER 10/101 from Frankfort. Haven't seen ER until last week and now I found some more! Now I just need to find some ER from New Orleans. I also saw a few Old Fitz 1849 8 year but it wasn't as dusty as I'd like it to be so they were left behind.

Greg,
How many years will I be ostracized for not picking up the OF1849 8yr?

Roger,
Violence is never the answer. A more fitting punishment would be forcing me to drink some scotch.
