Went to go buy some BT and EC12 but my local liquor store was out of both. However, they did have Russell's Reserve Rye 90 on sale for the same price as WTR101, so I bought both of those.

One of my employees went to Japan and I asked her to see if she could find any Four Roses, Asian style. She brought back ....

..............two empty bottles?!?!?

I finally got around to buying a bottle of Elmer T. Lee, and this is the first time I've ever even tried the ETL. It's very good, better than I expected.

Picked up my first bottle of ETL. Not going to open it yet...saving it for the right occasion. :) I've wanted a bottle since trying a pour at Delilah's...

LOL. Nice. I did not specify. Well played sir. She brought them full, I emptied them in my mouth. They were fine. Not stellar, but perfectly fine.

I found myself in NH yesterday doing the first hike of the year . . . hiked 5.7 miles up two different mountains!

The famously cheap NH Liquor store was running a "spend $75 get a $10 gift card" promo so I spent double that -- I picked up a handle of Sailor Jerry for the wife, two current Rare Breeds, my first Evan Williams SB 1998 and an Elijah Craig 18yr barreled on my Dad's 30th birthday. I threw a couple minis in there & it made for a good little haul, and now I have $20 in gift certificates burning a hole in my pocket.

I bought this gimmicky bad boy scant minutes ago at the Highland Park, IL Binny's. I kind of don't even care if it's good or not...

Woodman's in Madison has those sets for $15.99, incidentally...I've been debating grabbing one.

Oh what the flippin' crap? I just noticed this is a 375ml bottle. Oh well, it's good (kinda sweet) and I'm happily buzzing so that's what counts!

I went to the Sampler with the idea of just picking up a few everyday pours, and not specifically looking for the rare/high dollar items. So, I came home with this:

1 Rebel Reserve

2 AAA 10 yrs

1 Ezra Brooks 101 7 yr

1 ETL

1 Old Fitz BIB

1 BIB 6 yr Heaven Hill Old Style Bourbon (BTW, this an EXTREMELY dark and stellar bourbon. A steal at $10.99)

1 JTS Brown BIB

1 Wasmund's Rye Spirit

1 Old Forester Signature.

1 VWFRR 13 yr

1 Lot B

2 07 Stagg

1 CGF WT12 (in trade)

Hopefully, this will keep me set for a while.

While in West Virginia for the funeral this weekend, I ran up to Morgantown and checked out the University. The liquor store on campus had a bunch of Rittenhouse Rye 100 proof $14 each so a grabbed a few, since we can not get it in Michigan.

Picked up a bottle of Weller 12 over the weekend. It's good, but I think from trying it and other wheaters recently, I can offically say that I am more of a 'rye guy'.

Being very happy to find the BTAC on a shelf, I had to pick up the Stagg. Next week I'm going to have to go grab the WLW too.

If you're still finding BTAC on the shelf, that surprises me. I would grab that WLW ASAP. It's nearly as good as the '06 release.....and the '06 is stellar.

But the '05 is better if you drink them neat. I find that teh '06 fan club usually custs there juice.... both are great, but you need to cut the '06 a little to make it right...

Nice pick up Joshua... I could have swarn I said to get both :D

You did. There's plenty of the WLW to wait a few days. I spent a fortune on things over the last week, so the "play money" funds are dry until next this coming weekend. I'm trying to be responsible or something.

EC12 for me. Went to buy an EWSB '97 and the EC12 was on special again. This pour just keeps on treating me right :P

Not a Makers drinker usually (only when it's the only thing around in a bar etc...) but I saw a 1.75 L for $34 and said "Hey Now!" and scarfed it up.... that's like 14.60 for a 750ml/./..... not too shabby! Mispriced no doubt icon10.gif

Well, took a little dusty run after a very long day today and found a lot of the Bourbon Heritage Collection. Nothing like finding early 90s bourbon ready for the pickin'

5 OCPRs

1 Centennial Louisville

1 10 yr Dickel

1 12 yr VOF

And here is one I had never found myself and wanted to try...

1 15 yr Jefferson's Reserve
