I'm about to finish up a research paper (taking a short sanity break), after which I will indulge in the last pour from a bottle of WTRR 101. A sad yet celebratory sendoff for this paper and the bottle.

Regards,

Tim

Not feeling too well last night, so I partook of some medicinal whiskey:

Ten High KSBW

Geo. Dickel BS

I did feel better. Despite my using it as a punchline in the past, the Ten High really isn't too bad.

How do you like it? I just picked up one of those little gift sets with the Glencairn glass and repeal bottle. I mostly wanted the glass to use for everyday purposes. I'd hate to break my Heaven Hill souvenier Glencairn I bought at The Bourbon Heritage Center.

Anyways I noticed the gift pack box and the glass both say "Commemorative Bourbon" but on the actual bottle it says "A Blend Of Old Kentucky Whiskies". When I did a little poking around on the internetz I found this page where an employee of Brown-Forman says:

“This special bottling of Repeal Bourbon celebrates the rich history of Old Forester’s role as the founding brand of Brown-Forman,” said Joe Murray, Brand Manager for Old Forester.

Maybe that title used to be on the old "Old Forrester" bottles back in the day.

OGD114 before outdoors grilling, JDSS with the grilled bananas with chocolate souse and vanilla ice cream for dessert and WTRR101 as nightcap right now.

Sipping a little Eagle Rare SB 10/90... matter of fact, its just about empty.

Now this was a pretty good bottle, but since I can't identify which barrel its from I just have to trust that the next bottle will be as good. I wish more SB's were properly identified!

Up next... Lot B!

ER 101, followed by ER 101, and finally, ER 101. :slappin: I love this stuff. Lawrnceburg, then Frankfort, then New Orleans. All good, but I would also rank them in the same order as far as taste. Joe

Wathen's, Stagg 2008, and now some Pappy 15.

Nice pours James. I was enjoying some Weller 12 from Binny's earlier.

Kentucky Tavern BIB, neat.

Sweet corn husk and vanilla on the nose, corn husk comes thru real good in the taste, maybe a little hot but not much.

Like someone said once, "never had a BIB that I didn't like."

Thanks to a fellow member of the Mighty, Mighty SB.com.

Waiting for the cable repair guy (*&^$#@!!!)... pissed that I missed "Limburger Thursday" at the local bar. Drinking some OF Signature to ease the pain.

Killed off my '99 EWSB (bottle was almost empty), had a pour of Blanton's, then a Manhattan with RR90/10, and a 3/4 oz mini-shot of ETL for dessert. :)

Hadn't had any in two days so I started out with one pour from a newly opened Pappy 15, followed by one from some SW Weller 12.
