A spectacular pour of McScrooge's NAS OWA--Barrel 1. On some nights, certain whiskies are just in your wheelhouse. This one, is there tonight.

sipping on Noah's Mill, neat. I like to put this bourbon in the back of my cabinet behind the other open bottles, and [pretend] to forget about it. I come back a few weeks later, and am always wow'd. It is a unique and really pleasing pour amongst the other contenders in my ring.

Just cracked open a Four Roses Single Barrel, and poured it into one of the glasses that came with it :)

What are you thoughts on te PS Willett 17? I have several iterations and don't know if I need to add this one?

I Finished my bottle of WLW 2010 last night... That bottle didn't last long.

The PS 17 yo Willett is comparble to the others I've tried (particulary the R&E). Well worth the money in my estimation.

Reward for 2 hours of morning yard work, a small pour of WET12 CGL

Excellent choice regardless for the time of day.

Michter's US*1 and Russell's Reserve 10/90 last night. Surprisingly, most of the folks favored the Michter's to the RR, though both were excellent.

Had a party for the Iowa game and Breeders Cup yesterday. We just about cashed out a 1.75 of BT. Then a few of us plowed through most of a bottle of ORVW 107 proof, wow was that really good.

Current release Rebel Yell. I'd never had it, had heard it was wheated, and it was $10.99/750ml. What could I lose?

Well, now I know. I know that it's the worst thing in my bunker. Impressively bad.

Ahh, I gotta find a bottle of Mariage (or 2). I missed my opportunity to get some. FR LE 2010 is great, but I hear Mariage is better.

In the mean time, visiting my old friend, Old Rip Van Winkle, 10/107. I've missed you :D . So good for such a good price.

Can anyone tell me what OBSQ Single Barrel is? I was just notified by my favorite store that it is coming to their shelves soon. This alphabet soup is not on my StraightBourbon abbreviations master list.

I'm giving Old Hickory 80proof some lovin and enjoying some Pikesville Rye in Manhattans.

I've read a few references to Pikesville Rye lately so I picked up a bottle. I don't know why I haven't before. Both of my parents grew up near Pikesville, MD (not that it's made there anymore), and my girlfriend's father says he used to drink a lot of it (not that it's the same whiskey).

I picked one up in Easton, MD over the weekend. It's not great, and it's not bad. Factoring in the $11 I spent for it, I would classify it as shooting whiskey. It's great in a shotglass and with a beer.

It's young and smooth, but that's about it. Not a whole lot of flavor one way or another, and not a whole lot of burn either. Perfect for doing a few shots before heading out on the town, or to Wal-Mart, whichever you prefer. - http://www.peopleofwalmart.com

It's most likely a private barrel selection of FR's high rye floral (rose petal) spicy recipe...I would expect this to come in somewhere around the 110-120 proof and around $55 a bottle.

Not much bourbon lately, but I have WTKS 05 as a small nightcap right now and it taste awesome with bunches of vanilla. Still the headlight of the last 2 days have been the Hallmark Demerara rum 25 years old that I bought back from the Houston gathering. I did drink of it this summer, but now it has been sitting with maybe 1/4 left for months. When I re tasted it yesterday it was outstanding after the oxidation and the best rum I ever tasted. Yvonne also thought it had improved a lot. I did finish it today.

On the deck with a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero and some OF Signature. I'm not a big fan of the OFS. I think the OFBIB is much better, and I think after this one I'll switch to ERSB.

FR Mariage 09, Binny's FRBS OESV, and FR Mariage 09...:D

I just did a search on the word, "Mariage" and didn't find any threads speaking directly to Mariage. Bob, or others, could you some provide some tasting notes, or other info?

I just bought a bottle of 4R Small Batch and a bottle of Crown Royal Cask 16 that I will maybe send to my step-father if I can refrain from trying it.
