A Rocky Patel Aged Limited Release out by the fire tonight.  RP cigars have fallen out of favor with me the last year or so, as I’m just not happy with their consistency.  Their Connecticut was always a stalwart in my rotation, but tired of getting an unacceptable number of poor performing sticks in each box.  I still pick up the occasional cigar, though, like this ALR.  I’ve had a couple now, and all have been of wonderful construction.  Firm while easy drawing.  Even burns and great flavor from beginning to end. A pecan shell nuttiness and dark roast coffee notes with a noticeable chewiness on the finish.

I call your Olivia and raise you all in. :) I hate to smoke with the band on so I pulled it after the photo.

Yeah, I had a few smokes, the weather was good enough. Best of the lot was the SWAG, a very nice smoke.

Breakfast cigar. I know it's the same as above but this time pairing the Nicaraguan tobacco with some Costa Rican beans. Man this cigar actually tastes better the deeper I go. Kept the bands on till I burnt below the wrapper failure.

Just learned we’re doing taco night for dinner, so decided to have a pregame MMCS on ice, cigar, and last bit of Sun before it slips behind the pines.

It’s a little chilly tonight, so a good fire going and ready to fire up a Rocky Patel Aged Limited Reserve.  A very nice cigar, but best known as the world record holder for largest paper band on a cigar... ?

On a side note, it’s 10:45 PM and due to the SiP, it’s very quiet outside human-wise.  But, in the near distance to my right, an owl has been hooting away for most of the night, while to my left across the way, some dumbass song bird is tweeting away like like morning is going to break in 5 minutes.  It’s a mad, mad, world!  ?

I have not smoked many cigars  for nearly 5 years now. Around when my first child was born and my last cigar buddy moved away.  Cigar fanaticism was eventually replaced with bourbon in 2017.

Twice a year or so I still have to go through the cooler, refill humidity beads and checking each box for mold.  Sent these to a friend and thought the cigar smokers on here would enjoy some Easter weekend porn.

Picture is of the bottom level of around 5 layers of boxes when fully loaded. The Cohibas are 2013 Esplendidos.

I haven't smoked a cigar in over 38 years.  But I do appreciate your cigar porn and recall those days when I enjoyed an H. Upmann or Partagas cigar.  Macanudo, and Teamo were also among my favorites.

And now to the opposite end of the spectrum from what Bob just showed us...... I'm keeping it simple with a Black Pearl Morado and a pour of FRYL. Neither are anything fancy but they're pairing together very nicely on this lazy Saturday afternoon. Tasty, solid value cigars and whiskies never go out of style and I appreciate that they're still out there!
