...David Nicholson 1843 (said distilled at DSP-KY-16 on the label, but after some research I don't believe it)...

Yeah, unfortunately it is not juice from the magic kingdom of S-W... Luxco ain't being so honest there!

Yeah, I could be wrong, but I figure any store that has a large and varied bourbon selection also has a clientele that includes at least a couple bourbon geeks such as ourselves. Four or five bottles of S-W distillate just sitting on the shelf for all to see aren't going to escape notice for years. Still, I grabbed one just in case, then did my homework.

Somehow I ran into a Parkers Heritage #5 (coniac finished) in the wild today. Along with some Stagg Jr at a great price.

Good find on the Parkers!

Found some SAOS 7yr for $35 on vacation this weekend in NC...heard the 7yr was better than the 10yr so I picked one up for the price and moved my Eagle Rare to the bargain cart in the other room :D

If find you really like it and want more you don't have to wait till your next vacation. Total Wine has it for $35 in Florida.

I know lots of people don't like it but I do so I've picked up 3 more bottles of Blood Oath in the last couple of days as well as a bottle of CEHT BP

well, I had some time in between meetings today and ended up near the Binny's in Skokie, so I decided to stop in and check out what they had. Went down the aisle and noticed 3 different EHT cylinders and a Limit 1 sign by them... EHTBP! My heart raced a bit as I grabbed one. I then noticed a Limit 1 on the shelf below it, and on a 1792. I was wondering why the hell they had a limit 1 on a 1792 and I looked closer and it was Sweet Wheat! Grabbed both bottles and walked right up to the counter. $80 for the EHTBP and $40 for the 1792SW. I guess I can't say I don't find specialty bottlings at Binny's anymore. pretty excited to see both as I thought I wouldn't ever see them.

2 x OGD114 bringing my bunker up to 6 bottles. Trying to decide if that is enough or not before the new pricing kicks in this weekend.

Yea, I was optimistic headed to binnys based on I think it was your post saying you found CEHTBP and Sweet Wheat. Alas, no luck there for me today

Well on a second stop, I was able to stumble upon a CEHTBP and Sweet Wheat as well. Good day

All this OGD 114 talk made me grab an extra. For $19.99 you can't beat it.

True Dat! You have hit upon a profound, yet simple truth. It's extremely hard to beat a Bourbon that delivers a very consistent profile, and a unique one; and at a bargain price!

A little late with this one but last Friday I ran to a local store (which happens to have a great view of the old Hiram Walker warehouses from the parking lot) to pick up some beer and whiskey for a friend's bachelor party at Road America. I picked up Michael Collins Irish whiskey and Dickel 12 for that event but I also looked for myself. Next to the CEHT SB was an empty spot on the shelf for the BP. I was a little sad but I have 3 bottles of the 129 proof batch in the bunker. Then I noticed the price, $66.99! Now I was even more disappointed because I paid $75-80 for my bottles (at 3 different retailers). As I was looking around more, an employee walks by with two more tubes of the BP and puts them on the shelf. Now I have a bottle of the 127.7 proof batch in the bunker as well.

Last night I found the new Four Kings collaboration (Corsair, Journeyman, Few, and Mississippi River Distilling) for 2015, a rye whiskey. I don't usually buy a lot of the "micro"-distillery stuff but I like the Journeyman and MRDC stuff I've had, so with the back of the bottle declaring the whiskey was at least "1 year old," I bought a bottle. Bottle 665 of 800 iirc.

Picked up a bottle of the 1792 Sweet Wheat...but it's going to be a while before I taste it. Better half tells me I need to empty some of my open bottles before opening any more....
