Having some baby saz neat. Forgot how easy it is. Buttery up front and that nice, easy rye spice on the back. 'Elegance' might be the right word.

I'm really enjoying a WhistlePig 10 year 119 proof. Really good rye whiskey.

Also a small pour of Sazerac18. Great stuff. I wonder what this would taste like at barrel strength...

Mid Winter Nights Dram 3.2 on a warm, late Winter's night.

Shakes...who?  :P

I've neglected my rye's of late, so I figured I'd better have a pour of the Pikesville.  My palate was sort of craving the interplay of spice, toffee and coffee that this pour provides, and it didn't disappoint.

Moving on to the Saz18yr.

Whats even more off with all this is that I brought the bottles to the bar to share.

Bartenders have been blown aware. Happy to share the gifts.

Also drinking Saz 18! Having it for the first time in a long time with a clear palate and it's blowing me away as well.

Sure is. You just need to know where to look. Fortunately I just need to look in the bunker.

Likely, in all other honesty, no, not likely to be found in the wilds anymore.

Tasty night.

BigPapa, arrangements could be made if you're willing to drive south (I'm guessing) from your current location of you're interested in a tasting.

Had a couple of pours of Rittenhouse. Although I almost always have a bottle of this open, it's actually been a few months since I've had some.

  • 2 weeks later...

SAOS 8YO private barrel from Ace's.  Damn this is good on a nippy night in NJ.  Nova vs. Kansas should be interesting.
