b1gcountry
List your current top 5 American whiskies. Use whatever criteria you want. No store selects, no limited editions, currently available somewhere but not necessarily common. No particular order. As your top 5 change, quote your previous post, and let us know what changed for you. Edited December 10, 2015 by b1gcountry

Golzee
RHF, OF Sig, WT101, RR10/90, and some iteration of Jim Beam, would be happy with JBB, JB BIB, or the Single Barrel (only at clearance prices, bought a few at $20). I like the Jim Beam funk (based on opinions of this forum). I would call it their style, which is different from everybody else. Beam takes a beating around here, not exactly sure why. I think it is because it is too common. Beam is the girl next door, very attractive, but too easy or available maybe.

The only thing I'd change is the BT/ETL/RHF, adding Hancock's in place of the BT.
DonutsNBourbon
mine would probably be: ER10 - it's really been hitting the spot for me the last few months FRSB Blanton's EC12 (ECBP unfortunately, not readily available here...) The last few pours of Larceny just haven't done it for me, and have tasted pretty astringent, so I took that down too. The EWBIB is just such a decent and well rounded bourbon, I prefer it over just about any other when I just want something simple. The WTRB was just very nice, and I'm putting this in after a single pour, so I might regret it/change my mind...

mbroo5880i
Blanton's Four Rose Single Barrel Eagle Rare 10 Evan Williams Single Barrel Larceny My choices have changed over time, based on price and availability. I am fine with BT but I can general find ER10 for $5 more and I prefer it. If BT were still closer to $15, that might switch back. I can still find EWSB in the low to mid-$20s. I also prefer OWA and WL12 over Larceny but they aren't readily available any more. Pikesville Rye fits nicely into this group and would be among my top 3. I didn't include it because I am not sure how widely available it is. I can generally find it if I look hard enough. b1gcountry
Pikesville is a perfectly acceptable option. As long as it is available somewhere, it fits within "the rules". Anything no longer produced would not be within said rules.
