dummkauf80
Just curious what all of you out there do for warm winter cocktails? I'm up in the midwest, and while winter this year isn't exactly what I'd call cold(my co-worker from Phoenix disagrees with me on that point ), I am curious what the bourbon crowd likes to make for warm cocktails in the cold winter months? tanstaafl2
The simple but classic Hot Toddy is perhaps the most common. There are many variations off the Hot Toddy as well. I also make the occasional hot buttered rum. Simple Hot Toddy 2 oz (or so...) whiskey of your choice (I like rye, scotch is traditional) 1 sugar cube or 1 teaspoon of Demerara simple syrup 2 oz boiling water Dash or two of your favorite bitters as desired. Lemon twist

I just had one this past weekend, and that's one fine drink.
