The age is no less than 8 years old 4. The label for the bottle was voted on by the employee's of the distillery 5. The flavor profile was picked by 15 retired workers 6. tanstaafl2 Posted November 21, 2017 Share Posted November 21, 2017 So why wouldn't they put an 8yo age statement on BT? Or even 7yo for that matter if they wanted to give themselves some wiggle room. He also says, or least implies, that all Weller is at least 7yo (at about the 8:45 mark and again later). This was posted in 2016 but no idea when it was recorded. Maybe it is a fair bit older than it appears. Although Weller SR and OWA lost their age statement well before 2016. Hmm. I have no real reason to doubt what is said and absolutely no proof to the contrary but I still can't help feel like it seems a bit odd to me.
