Seems to be a relatively new whiskey as far as I can tell, and has a striking visual resemblance to Jack Daniels (so much so that they are getting sued). I picked up a sample bottle from my local Total Wine--and that's as far as I'm going to go. I smoked a cigar earlier, but I don't think that makes much of a difference in my tasting experience here...

It's not a pleasant whiskey and I do not recommend it by itself, or probably even on the rocks/mixed. The nose and taste are rough and abrasive, reminding me more of white dog whiskey. I have voluntarily tried white dog, but if I'm drinking a TN whiskey or bourbon, I don't want to stumble into a bottle of slightly refined shine. The label claims it was mellowed using the Lincoln County process and aged in charred white oak barrels. I wonder how well or long it really went through these processes.

Better off with Jack Dan, George Dickel, maybe others for TN whiskey, I think.
